Crossroads
I just finished watching a sci-fi program on NBC called “Surface”. Being a science fiction fan from way back (I loved the first Star Trek series), it was only natural that I would be attracted to the current fare of network thrillers. However, a funny thing happened between 1966 (The year Star Trek premiered) and now, I lost faith in my government. I used to think that I could, for the most part, trust my elected officials to look out for my best interest. I guess my naiveté was a general reflection of society at large. I also thought that the church, in its many denominations, was there to guide the seeking souls who entered through its doors to the Promised Land. Humph! I see now that growing up is a lot more complicated than I thought.
Over a period of about three years (from age fifteen to eighteen) I saw what I am convinced was an extraterrestrial vehicle and I also began having pre-cognitive dreams and feelings. Imagine my consternation when I found that not only could I not find any people to talk to about these experiences but that there was only scant reference to them in the main stream media. Project Blue Book was in place, and all the mounting evidence that something out of this world was happening was being routinely catalogued as hoaxes or mere misidentification. Not to be deterred, I began a rather systematic examination of text and scriptures from Eastern religions and began reading what little I could find on UFO’s and peculiar artifacts from around the world. Much of what I was able to find was clearly tainted by lack of reliable evidence or thinly veiled agendas. It was frustrating to say the least. Why, I asked myself, was I having these peculiar experiences and being led to examine what most people claimed to be either impossible or the work of overly active imaginations? Fortunately the excursions into the paranormal and the deep inner yearning to know have never left me. The underlying reasons for the directions that my quest has taken me are only now bubbling to the surface.
Thanks to the creation of the World Wide Web, anyone can post their thoughts and the recorded images of their experiences for all to see. No longer can any government denial suffice, as proof that we are not in the midst of what is surely the most perilous and exciting period in modern history. That we are being visited by intelligent beings not of this Earth is there for all to see. The Internet has also allowed for the expansion of our concept of God and our relationship to Divine Consciousness. Neale Donald Walsch has been greatly assisted in his quest to spread the message of a new spirituality through his judicious use of the web. Where once it was nearly impossible to obtain assistance in taking the road less traveled, now anyone with access to the Internet can find support.
So what does it all mean? Are we in the last days, as some traditionalists would have us believe? Is the Earth about to be invaded by hostile entities with agendas unknown? Should we be quaking in fear or is this the time to take it upon ourselves to question everything and not settle for official explanations?
The dictionary defines “crossroads” as a crucial point or a place where two or more roads meet. It would seem that we are definitely there! Taking current events as a map of the outer world and the results of my spiritual quest as my map of the inner world, I am left with one inescapable conclusion. Each of us must now choose. Will we be led by the forces that shape the political climate of the world or those that shape the landscape of the heart?
Last year I had occasion to watch a press conference at which Dr. Carol Rosin spoke. She was one of about twenty people who were given a forum to talk about what they knew concerning the key players in the military/industrial complex. Their plans to shape and mold public opinion concerning threats to our way of life and collective well-being were deeply disturbing to say the least. It was eerily prophetic that 9/11 happened just about four months after this press conference. It was also telling that this event received absolutely no coverage by the so-called free American Press. She testified that the military/industrial complex would first use terrorists as a reason to further ramp up an already bloated military budget. When this tact began to lose steam they would then turn to the threat of an alien invasion as proof that the annual budget of 14 billion dollars for the Star Wars weapons system was completely justified. This threat, as was the last one, would also be used to further deprive American citizens of their constitutional rights. Their determination and the evidence of the complexities of this draconian mindset are in evidence everywhere. I knew beyond a shadow of a doubt that last summer’s blockbuster “War Of The Worlds” was just the first of many dramas designed to soften up the public consciousness for the seed called Evil Alien. Now we get it served up on a weekly basis in the form of Surface, Threshold, Stargate Atlantis, and Stargate SG-1 etc.
On the flip side of the coin we have the peace movement. It is evidenced by the various organizations that are working for Disclosure, peaceful co-existence, and the sharing of the Earth’s resources to build a sustainable planetary society.
The still small voice that speaks to us from our hearts will never shout down the clamor of people that promote fear. Nor will God ever force us to choose His Will or to do those things that we know are good and right. Furthermore, those that choose peace will certainly feel alone at times and will be assailed by insults of being un-American, overly idealistic, blasphemous or just plain wrong.
The choice is ours to make. Will we continue in a state of war and reap the ever more horrific results or turn to peace and create a planetary revolution unlike any that has ever been seen? I suspect that the latter is the course of action that most of us desire. Will we have the courage to follow our deepest desires or continue to be led by those thoughts of hate and fear that have brought us down time and time again?

Hello seeker,
Yesterday was 11/9 and I think it will be a crossroad for Jordan as 9/11 was a crossroad for USA.
forgive me for posting the following as appeared & published in Jordan Times newspaper today.
Amman suicide bombings kill 57
Explosions rip Radisson SAS, the Grand Hyatt and Days Inn hotels; more than 115 injured, mostly Jordanians
Explosions on Wednesday ripped through three Amman hotels, killing at least 57 people and injuring more than 115, mostly Jordanians, Deputy Prime Minister Marwan Muasher said.
The first ever suicide attacks in Jordan targeted Radisson SAS and the Grand Hyatt hotels — both only a block from each other in a commercial and residential Jabal Amman District — as well as Days Inn in Rabia area.
In the deadliest blast, a suicide bomber blew himself up just after 9:00pm in a ballroom at the Radisson SAS while a Jordanian wedding reception was under way, Muasher, also government spokesperson, told reporters.
"Policemen were removing body parts splattered all over the floor at the Radisson SAS ballroom. I don't believe that anyone would want to kill people at a wedding," said Lower House Deputy Odeh Qawas outside the hotel.
The bride and groom both lost their fathers and were themselves injured
Shortly afterwards, a suicide bomber also detonated his charge at the entrance of the Grand Hyatt.
Marwan Hweimel, an eyewitness, said he saw tens of bodies sprawled in front of the Grand Hyatt lobby along with shattered glass and debris. "We tried to carry as many people as possible and put them in cars to take them to hospitals," he said. "It was a horrible scene."
The third explosion was carried out by a car bomber who attempted to cross a security barrier outside the Days Inn.
"We condemn this cowardly act and heinous crime and tell whomever planned this, that their attempt to undermine the Kingdom's security and its unity will not work," Muasher said.
He could not say if there were suspects or if any group claimed responsibility but said investigation was under way. He told reporters that Jordan's land borders were closed for security reasons.
Most of the Kingdom's hotels were also cordoned off and security was beefed up following the attacks. Roads leading to the hotels, located in the upper part of the city, were also blocked off to cars and passersby. The sound of police and ambulance sirens could be heard all over the city as cars raced back and forth from the scenes to nearby hospitals.
Eyewitnesses at the Jordan Hospital said the number of casualties was growing rapidly as doctors in the emergency rooms attempted to help as many as they could. Other hospitals were sending equipment to the Jordan Hospital to help salvage as many injured as possible.
Police officers were seen frantically trying to remove the bodies of the dead and the injured and tried to push off members of the press and media from the entrances of the three hotels. Blown-up car tyres, debris and shattered glass at the entrance of the Grand Hyatt as well as the Days Inn were visible.
Amman is considered as one of the most stable and safest capitals in the Arab world.
Officials and observers said that the attacks carry the style of Zarqa-born Abu Mussab Zarqawi, the frontman of Al Qaeda in Iraq.
Muasher said Wednesday he was "positive" that Zarqawi, was a "prime suspect" in the deadly bombings.
"Al Qaeda and Zarqawi were certainly involved in the rocket attacks in Aqaba a few months ago, and, you know, I'm positive he's a prime suspect in this case as well, but I cannot tell for sure," Muasher told CNN.
A Western security expert familiar with Jordan said Zarqawi would be a prime suspect behind the apparently coordinated suicide attacks, which bore the clear mark of Al Qaeda.
Authorities have in the past broken up a number of Al Qaeda linked networks suspected of plotting attacks against US and other Western targets. Zarqawi, who has a $25 million bounty on his head, was condemned to death in absentia in April for the 2002 murder of a US diplomat in Amman.
Jordan has so far been spared major attacks on foreigners despite its proximity to Iraq and popularity as a tourist destination, but the authorities had been braced for trouble.
The August attack that targeted US warships in the port city of Aqaba was also blamed on Al Qaeda group led by Zarqawi.
The then-fired rockets killed one Jordanian soldier while another landed across the border in the neighbouring Israeli resort of Eilat.
The three hotels are frequently visited by Western tourists and diplomats. The Radisson SAS, in particular, is popular with Israeli tourists, and was a target of several foiled Al Qaeda plots in the past, namely a conspiracy to attack US and Israeli tourists during the Kingdom's millennium celebrations.
"Al Qaeda and those guys like to go back to places they've missed or where they weren't so successful the first time around," A US official said.
