Crossroads
I just finished watching a sci-fi program on NBC called “Surface”. Being a science fiction fan from way back (I loved the first Star Trek series), it was only natural that I would be attracted to the current fare of network thrillers. However, a funny thing happened between 1966 (The year Star Trek premiered) and now, I lost faith in my government. I used to think that I could, for the most part, trust my elected officials to look out for my best interest. I guess my naiveté was a general reflection of society at large. I also thought that the church, in its many denominations, was there to guide the seeking souls who entered through its doors to the Promised Land. Humph! I see now that growing up is a lot more complicated than I thought.
Over a period of about three years (from age fifteen to eighteen) I saw what I am convinced was an extraterrestrial vehicle and I also began having pre-cognitive dreams and feelings. Imagine my consternation when I found that not only could I not find any people to talk to about these experiences but that there was only scant reference to them in the main stream media. Project Blue Book was in place, and all the mounting evidence that something out of this world was happening was being routinely catalogued as hoaxes or mere misidentification. Not to be deterred, I began a rather systematic examination of text and scriptures from Eastern religions and began reading what little I could find on UFO’s and peculiar artifacts from around the world. Much of what I was able to find was clearly tainted by lack of reliable evidence or thinly veiled agendas. It was frustrating to say the least. Why, I asked myself, was I having these peculiar experiences and being led to examine what most people claimed to be either impossible or the work of overly active imaginations? Fortunately the excursions into the paranormal and the deep inner yearning to know have never left me. The underlying reasons for the directions that my quest has taken me are only now bubbling to the surface.
Thanks to the creation of the World Wide Web, anyone can post their thoughts and the recorded images of their experiences for all to see. No longer can any government denial suffice, as proof that we are not in the midst of what is surely the most perilous and exciting period in modern history. That we are being visited by intelligent beings not of this Earth is there for all to see. The Internet has also allowed for the expansion of our concept of God and our relationship to Divine Consciousness. Neale Donald Walsch has been greatly assisted in his quest to spread the message of a new spirituality through his judicious use of the web. Where once it was nearly impossible to obtain assistance in taking the road less traveled, now anyone with access to the Internet can find support.
So what does it all mean? Are we in the last days, as some traditionalists would have us believe? Is the Earth about to be invaded by hostile entities with agendas unknown? Should we be quaking in fear or is this the time to take it upon ourselves to question everything and not settle for official explanations?
The dictionary defines “crossroads” as a crucial point or a place where two or more roads meet. It would seem that we are definitely there! Taking current events as a map of the outer world and the results of my spiritual quest as my map of the inner world, I am left with one inescapable conclusion. Each of us must now choose. Will we be led by the forces that shape the political climate of the world or those that shape the landscape of the heart?
Last year I had occasion to watch a press conference at which Dr. Carol Rosin spoke. She was one of about twenty people who were given a forum to talk about what they knew concerning the key players in the military/industrial complex. Their plans to shape and mold public opinion concerning threats to our way of life and collective well-being were deeply disturbing to say the least. It was eerily prophetic that 9/11 happened just about four months after this press conference. It was also telling that this event received absolutely no coverage by the so-called free American Press. She testified that the military/industrial complex would first use terrorists as a reason to further ramp up an already bloated military budget. When this tact began to lose steam they would then turn to the threat of an alien invasion as proof that the annual budget of 14 billion dollars for the Star Wars weapons system was completely justified. This threat, as was the last one, would also be used to further deprive American citizens of their constitutional rights. Their determination and the evidence of the complexities of this draconian mindset are in evidence everywhere. I knew beyond a shadow of a doubt that last summer’s blockbuster “War Of The Worlds” was just the first of many dramas designed to soften up the public consciousness for the seed called Evil Alien. Now we get it served up on a weekly basis in the form of Surface, Threshold, Stargate Atlantis, and Stargate SG-1 etc.
On the flip side of the coin we have the peace movement. It is evidenced by the various organizations that are working for Disclosure, peaceful co-existence, and the sharing of the Earth’s resources to build a sustainable planetary society.
The still small voice that speaks to us from our hearts will never shout down the clamor of people that promote fear. Nor will God ever force us to choose His Will or to do those things that we know are good and right. Furthermore, those that choose peace will certainly feel alone at times and will be assailed by insults of being un-American, overly idealistic, blasphemous or just plain wrong.
The choice is ours to make. Will we continue in a state of war and reap the ever more horrific results or turn to peace and create a planetary revolution unlike any that has ever been seen? I suspect that the latter is the course of action that most of us desire. Will we have the courage to follow our deepest desires or continue to be led by those thoughts of hate and fear that have brought us down time and time again?

Post Katrina
Post-Katrina
In the mind-boggling aftermath of Hurricane Katrina, it occurs to me that the government that we have elected to serve and protect us has once again allowed us to see it’s real priorities.
Never did we think that a large American city could be reduced to the appearance of a Third World country. Nor, in this day and age of global communication and global satellite imaging, could we imagine this outcome. That the most technologically advanced country in the world could allow members of it’s own population to suffer and die in such horrendous ways is an outrage. Even as the images of the suffering and the outcries of those who had managed to survive Katrina’s initial onslaught were broadcast worldwide, the inevitable finger pointing and spin began. The agencies in charge of securing Americans in times of disaster each had their own reasons why they were slow to react. Many even claimed that they had no advance warning of the magnitude of calamity that a category four storm could wreak upon the citizens of New Orleans. However, in a story posted on MSNBC.com it was reported that just such a scenario was predicted with chilling accuracy. The following excerpt was the response to the presentation of this possibility:
The scenario was dubbed Hurricane Pam: 120 mph winds, a massive storm surge, 20 feet of water in the city, 80 percent of buildings damaged, refugees on rooftops, possibly gun violence that would slow the rescue. "What bothers me the most is all the people who've died unnecessarily," says Ivor Van Heerden, a hurricane researcher from Louisiana State University who ran the exercise. Van Heerden says the federal government didn't take it seriously. "Those FEMA officials wouldn't listen to me," he says. "Those Corps of Engineers people giggled in the back of the room when we tried to present information. "One recommendation from the exercise: Tent cities should be prepared for the homeless. "Their response to me was: 'Americans don't live in tents,' and that was about it," recalls Van Heerden.
Furthermore, requests for federal funding to shore up the levees holding back Lake Pontchatrain were denied. This was a foreseen disaster! Why then, we must ask ourselves, was nothing done to prevent it? Well, let’s first look at the reason’s why Homeland Security failed so miserably. Given that Mother Nature presents the most real and relatively predictable threat to our collective well being, it would seem that a great deal more of the massive military budget would be allotted to protecting us from her. It would also seem that advanced warnings by experts in natural disasters would receive a great deal higher priority than the various scenarios for terrorist attacks that somehow seem to never happen. However, this is clearly not the case. These devastating hurricanes are happening with alarming regularity. Computer models also easily provide parallels between global warming and the resulting negative influence on weather patterns. Again, we have to ask ourselves, why is the United States consistently pushing to weaken regulations governing industrial waste and air pollution? Can short-term profits really be so important that we are willing to jeopardize our planetary ecosystem as well as the health and well being of this and succeeding generations? Apparently so.
Also, it is increasingly clear that creating a shadow enemy and inciting fear in the population is a clever and very workable way to elicit funds from Congress to power the military machine. Take the Star Wars weapon system. Billions of dollars have been spent on this system with absolutely no discernable results. These billions certainly could have been better spent not only on real homeland security, but also on education, national health programs, and genuine efforts to free us from our reliance on fossil fuels. All of the aforementioned uses of these funds would create a happier healthier environment for Americans. Alas, happiness and health are not what fuels the military/industrial complex. Rather, it is discord, fear, and an unhealthy reliance on others to protect us from those that would cause us harm.
I think that the hope of this country and the world is that those of us who care about this beautiful planet and it’s inhabitants need to take responsibility for educating ourselves and for seeing to it that our friends, family, and neighbors are equally educated. Otherwise, there will be much, much more of the same. A casual look at the headlines will reveal just what that looks like and where it is taking us.

As I watch the prices of gasoline in the United States climb steadily and the profits for the major oil companies reach record levels, it occurs to me that the time has come for the people in this country to express themselves in a way that they cannot not be heard. For too long we have allowed ourselves to be lied to by politicians and to be led into unnecessary wars which ultimately only serve to further the aims of the military/industrial complex. This sorry state of affairs is further exacerbated by the fact that our so-called free press is in fact controlled by the same people who have the most to gain by our ignorance of their true intentions. I am continually amazed by the amount of suffering that I see happening around the world. This while America's leaders trumpet the spread of democracy and the need to support American ideals. A careful look at current events as well as recent history will quickly reveal that it is in fact these same leaders who are, through various policy decisions and lack of genuine concern for humanity, creating the conditions for which they profess to have the answers.
There is a huge revolution going on in the world which is being fueled by the internet and the access to information that it provides. To be uninformed in this day and age is absolutely inexcusable. It is with this fact in mind that I have created this web site. In the coming weeks and months I will be posting information on current events and offering my take on why they have taken place. I will offer visitors to this site the chance to comment on said events and to offer possible solutions to the problems that created them. It is my feeling that there aren't any problems facing humanity that can't be solved if solutions are in fact the desired end.
So, what's bugging me? One year ago I happened upon a website which was dedicated to asking some of the same questions that I am posing. It was created as an extension of the work of Dr. Steven Greer who left a successful career as head of Emergency Room services at Caldwell Memorial Hospital. According to the findings of Dr. Greer and the testimony of some four hundred former and current government, military and private witnesses, there is an ongoing effort/cover-up to keep highly advanced technologies off the market. These technologies would totally eradicate the need for the burning of fossil fuels. These technologies would further allow those in third world countries to significantly raise their standard of living and to become contributing members to the world community instead of being a source of pity and a constant drain upon the finances of developed countries. My question therefore is this; what can we do to make it known to the leaders of the world that we will no longer sit idly by while people starve to death or die in unneccessary wars?
